The restaurant stands on the street level in front of Shibuya Station. Once you come in through the curtain at the entrance, you'll find yourself in a nice quiet restaurant… Seasonal flower arrangement and paintings humbly decorate the compact space.
It is hard to believe such a nice quiet restaurant is right in front of Shibuya Station. We also have a private room upstairs.
We hope you'll enjoy Kabayaki, the traditional flavor of "Matsukawa", a restaurant with a long history.
Green Japanese peppercorn gives an accent. "Eel sushi" that you can eat with a refreshing vinegared rice and "Shirayaki set meal" that comes with Ponzu are especially popular among female guests.
We also serve traditional flavors made with unique ideas such as "Unakimoyaki-ju" where Kabayaki and liver are mixed, which you cannot find anywhere else.
We not only serve eel dishes including Una-ju, Una-don, "Hitsumabushi" with a lot of spices, hot "Umaki" and refreshing "Uzaku", we also have a variety of a la carte dishes that are great side dish for sake.
